How the New Hemp Steam Sauna Differs from the Medicinal Herb Steam Sauna

Herbal steaming is a tradition that has been around for over 600 years. It was originally used as a way to care for women's bodies after childbirth. Nowadays, it is loved by many people for general care of female organs, for warming the body, for cell regeneration, and for toxin release.

Although both the medicinal herb sauna and hemp sauna incorporate Mugwort and other organic compounds into their herb blends, there are still some main differences between the two treatment styles. Let’s take a look...

First, purpose for steaming:

  • For the medicinal herb sauna, the purpose is to increase heat in the body to the point of increased circulation, sweating, and detoxification. This steam sauna helps to warm and ring out toxins in the body from the inside out.

  • Whereas the purpose for the hemp steam sauna is not to increase perspiration, but to gently warm the body, with special focus on delivering healing herbs to the vagina and womb. This sauna aims to help care for the delicate area of a woman's body.

Second, items used during steaming:

  • For the medicinal herb sauna, the items used are a comfortable cotton robe, a handmade wooden chair, a ceramic pot, and a cotton tent that surrounds the chair to keep heat in.

  • Whereas the items used during the hemp sauna are a hemp robe that’s gentle on the skin, and a Shigaraki yellow clay chair and pot.

Third, herbs used during steaming:

  • For the medicinal herb sauna, the base herbs that are used are Mugwort and Yamato Touki. Yamato Touki is harvested in Uda City, Nara, and is the most old and precious herb in Japan. Both Mugwort and Yamato Youki are used as base herbs because they are known for helping women to balance hormones, cleanse the womb and vagina, as well as release toxins from the body. In addition, depending on your condition at the time, three other herbs from the organic selection of Dokudami, Lemongrass, Kuromoji, Kumazasa, and Mulberry Leaf are also added to your unique herb blend.

  • Whereas for the hemp sauna, the herb blend consists of 17 natural elements to promote vaginal health. This blend includes hemp, mint, charcoal, and mugwort to name a few. This blend has been carefully curated, tested, and infused with sunlight for up to 3 days in order to provide you with a powerful steaming experience.

In conclusion, depending on your condition and personal needs, you can choose between the medicinal herb sauna that aims to promote circulation and perspiration, or the hemp steam sauna that aims to promote relaxation and nourish the delicate area of the female body.
